Turtle class (18 months to 2.5 years) explored their senses through salt dough prints (tactile/kinesthetic) had a mindful tasting (gustatory), explored smelling bottles (olfactory), music time (auditory), and looked at books (visual) whilst also developing more abstract stereognostic sense. The children all thoroughly enjoyed these group activities.
In the Falcon class the children looked at fruit to test their sense of taste (gustatory). Bitter (cranberries), sweet (watermelon), sour (lemon & lime), and salty (olives). While eating dinner or breakfast with your child, it might be fun to play a game of 'what do I taste?'.
